About Barry

Barry Dunn specializes in residential real estate in Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Pompano Beach and the surrounding areas of eastern Broward County.
He was born in Durham, NC, where his parents owned a small real estate company. As soon as he was old enough to answer the phone and write down a phone number (1970) Barry's parents put him to work in the real estate office. He somehow managed to spend all the money a five year old could earn on comic books and candy, but he also learned about real estate!

He worked at the US Postal Service during the 1980's and early 90's. Feeling like a prisoner tied to a time clock, he resigned from the post office and began selling real estate in Raleigh, NC.

In December 2003, Barry relocated to Fort Lauderdale. It was a challenge to start over from scratch, and an even bigger challenge to stay in business during the crash of 2008, but Barry succeeded.

He has a passion for training and helping agents improve their skills. He regularly facilitates classes and hosts special events like Buffini's Masterclass or Tom Ferry's Success Summit. Barry is a certified mentor for Buffini & Company, America's largest real estate training and coaching company. He has also completed the Ninja Selling Installation and Ninja Leadership Institute.

In September of 2016, Barry opened the first NextHome franchise in the Fort Lauderdale area. NextHome Realty Professionals (NHRP) is conveniently located at 2629 N Federal Hwy in Fort Lauderdale, FL. NHRP operates with a select roster of agents who are much more productive than the average agents in Broward County.
